Jesenice town is located 20 km west from Rakovník town, in the western corner of Central Bohemia Region close to major cities: Prague (80 km), Plzeň (55 km), Most (60 km) and Karlovy Vary (50 km). First references to the original townlet Jesenice dates back to 14th century and nowadays Jesenice is a centre of natural recreational region offering for tourists numerous pods, vast wood stretches rich in blueberries and mushrooms, range of pathways and cycling trails and lots of cultural relics for those who are interested in history.
